Beaufort has a look all its own: grand antebellum homes raised high off the ground to catch the river breeze, deep porches built for shade, and rows of shutters framing tall windows beneath a canopy of oak trees and Spanish moss. These homes were designed for the Lowcountry heat long before air conditioning, and their windows still work to get the job done.
At Seaside Window Treatment, we help Beaufort homeowners honor that heritage while adding the comfort, light control, and storm protection a coastal home needs today. As a locally owned, family-run window treatment store in Beaufort, SC, we’re proud to serve our own community.
We’re a full-service dealer offering in-home design consultations, on-site measuring, professional in-house installation, and warranty support. We don’t hand our installs off to outside crews. Our own team handles every measurement and every fitting, so we stand behind the finished result from start to finish.
In a town shaped by the “Beaufort Style” home, with its deep porches and tall, breeze-catching windows, shutters are an architectural staple. As Beaufort’s trusted shutter store, we offer interior and exterior options built for the way these homes were meant to live.
Interior shutters bring insulation, noise reduction, and precise light control to a historic homes and newer builds alike. Our plantation shutters are the centerpiece, available in wood, composite, and poly/hybrid materials, so you can mix and match the look and material to your liking. For a bathroom, a kitchen, or any room that experiences Lowcountry humidity, a composite or poly shutter resists warping that can trouble natural wood over time while still delivering a timeless Southern look.
Exterior shutters are where beauty meets protection on the coast. Our custom exterior shutters, including Bahama and Colonial styles, add curb appeal while still standing up to salt air and storm season. Bahama shutters, with their classic Lowcountry silhouette, prop open for shade, then close down when a storm rolls in. Colonial shutters flank your windows with traditional charm and latch over the glass when needed. And when protection is the priority, hurricane shutters — like our roll-down styles — deploy fast to shield your windows from wind and debris.
Shutters may be our specialty, but we carry a full suite of custom window treatments from Hunter Douglas, Alta® Window Fashions, and more. Beaufort’s bright coastal light is one of its joys, but it also fades floors and heats up rooms, so the right treatment matters.
Our interior shades come in cellular, woven and bamboo, roller and screen, banded, and Roman styles, each striking its own balance of light filtration, privacy, and energy efficiency. Blinds, in wood, faux wood, vertical, and aluminum styles, give you easy, adjustable control over sun and airflow. Our custom drapery layers in the soft color and texture that Lowcountry rooms are famous for, whether over shades or on their own. And for those deep Beaufort porches, our outdoor shades and screens let you enjoy the space while staying protected from heat, glare, and insects. Whatever the opening, we have window treatment solutions in Beaufort to fit it.
We use only the best materials for lasting results.

It’s possible. Homes within Beaufort’s historic district are subject to Historic District Review Board oversight, and exterior changes often require approval. If you have a historic home, we’ll be glad to help you choose an appropriate option.
Tall, breeze-catching windows and deep porches call for treatments that manage strong coastal light without closing the home off. Plantation shutters, woven shades, and porch-ready outdoor shades all work beautifully here.
Our exterior shutters are engineered for coastal conditions. For humid interior spaces, composite and poly/hybrid plantation shutters resist warping far better than natural wood.
